Very nice old building. Quiet.
Some of the staff members were less than competent.

They were very expensive for what I got. They don't even have coffee/tea in the room. There is an extra charge for everything. I stay at other hotels and get far more for far less. They don't even have wireless in the rooms!!!! And then they charge for a connection that you have to sit in the corner of the room to use.

Room service was prompt and convenient. The pasta dish I had was so-so, because it was too salty and had too much pancetta in it. My favorite aspect of the hotel was the availability of filtered water and ice just outside my door--a real bonus!
The pillows provided were not comfortable; I was very glad I brought one of my own. Parking was expensive, although the cost was probably comparable to other hotels in the area.

The bar was fun with live music both nights. The restaurant was also very good. The location is ideal for enjoying downtown San Jose.
Valet parking at $20 was pricey but convenient.

The King Room was smaller than I expected, and the layout felt a bit awkward. A few pieces of furniture were showing signs of wear, and there was a flickering light in the shower, annoying. The bathroom was nice and spacious, though. The bed was comfy, so I did sleep well, but overall, I think maintenance could use some improvement to match the hotel's vintage style.

I really like that the pantry was open all night!
The Raid Our Pantry was misspelled and the room was a bit expensive.

Loved my 5 nights stay. The queen room I was given was complete with adjoining walls and the bathroom, for example. The location was marvellous and fantastic, approx 10-15 minutes' walk from an indoor arena. The meals in a lounge restaurant were awesome!

The location is a highlight, with numerous dining options nearby and the ambiance reminiscent of classic silver screen charm. The room was quite small, and noticeable wear on the furniture detracted from the overall experience. Maintenance is a concern, as I faced issues like a flickering light, and breakfast felt inadequate given the price point. The bar's early closing time was also surprising, limiting evening options.

I loved the charming Art Deco theme of Hotel De Anza. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed, made for a great night's sleep. I appreciated the small ice and water machines on every floor, allowing me to fill my water bottle easily before heading out. The staff were friendly, and there were nice touches like house-baked cookies at check-in.
The valet parking fee is a bit high.

The charming Art Deco decor throughout Anza radiated elegance. The wide hallways and accessible features were a godsend for someone like me, who appreciates comfort while wandering the beautiful lobby.
More seating options in common areas would be nice.
